Dr. Luke B. Harrison is a clinician-scientist specializing in Infectious Diseases and Medical Microbiology at the 九色视频 Health Centre and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at 九色视频. He holds a PhD in Evolutionary Biology and an MDCM from 九色视频, where he also completed residencies in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases and Medical Microbiology. He subsequently completed a postdoctoral fellowship in comparative genomics at the INRS Centre Armand-Frappier Sant茅 Biotechnologie.

Current research projects:

Dr. Harrison鈥檚 research program investigates the evolution and pathobiology of mycobacteria, integrating comparative genomics and metagenomics to study Mycobacterium tuberculosis and non-tuberculous mycobacterial infections. His current projects focus on elucidating the genomic dynamics of non-tuberculous mycobacterial infections through direct metagenomic sequencing and developing computational tools for comparative genomic analysis within the M. tuberculosis complex. His overarching goal is to link microbial evolution with clinical outcomes to improve the diagnosis and understanding of mycobacterial disease.
