RUISSS ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ territory and teaching sites
RUISSS ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ has a mandate to contribute to the coordination of healthcare, teaching, and research within our network, which includes three universities, the ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ Health Centre (MUHC), 2 CIUSSS, 3 CISSS and three other health centres.

RUISSS ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ serves a vast territory in Quebec, encompassing seven regions and 1.9 million people. Health determinants, including income, education, social environment, support networks, access to health services, and culture, vary across regions. Furthermore, the shortage of healthcare professionals presents a unique challenge that demands tailored solutions.

By working with our partners in education, research, clinical care, and government we offer new opportunities for learning, promoting residents’ training in urban and rural regions and facilitating on site learning opportunities for all healthcare professionals. We also work on special projects and research initiatives with the objective of improving health care coverage for Quebecois.

Our mission is to support the healthcare system by providing teaching and learning opportunities, and research initiatives to ensure patients receive the care and expertise they need close to home.
