Due to strict licensing agreements with publishers, off-campus access to most electronic library resources such as databases, full text electronic journals and textbooks, as well as other online services are restricted to the following members of the ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ community:

  • Faculty with a ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ ID number
  • Students with a ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ ID number
  • Staff with a ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ ID number
  • Residents with a ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ ID number

NB Any individual who is on campus (downtown or Macdonald) will be able to access most library e-resources without having to authenticate, either by connecting to the ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ wired or wireless network, or by using computer workstations located in the library.

If you work in one of ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ’s affiliated hospitals and do not have access to ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ Libraries' eResources, there are still several ways to access the information you need.

  1. Use Hospital-Licensed eResources

    You may have access to eResources that are licensed specifically for use by your hospital or department. Check with your hospital library or information services for details.

  1. Request Materials via Interlibrary Loan

    You can request ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ Libraries materials through your hospital’s interlibrary loan (ILL) service. This allows you to borrow books, articles, and other resources from ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ’s collections.
     
  2. On-Campus Access at ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ

    When visiting ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ’s downtown or Macdonald campuses, you can access ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ Libraries e-resources by:
     
  • Connecting to the ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ wireless network using a personal device, or
  • Using one of the public computer workstations available at any ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ Libraries location. To learn more about the resources available to you, please contact your hospital library.
