Anita Ahmadi

Anita Ahmad, PhD Student (year 2)

Anita Ahmadi is a second-year doctoral student at ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµâ€™s Institute of Islamic Studies. Her research examines Ottoman–Iranian cultural relations in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, with particular attention to questions of literature, authority, and intellectual exchange. She previously completed a master’s degree on Sultan SelÄ«m I’s Persian divan and the role of poetry in constructions of sacral kingship. Before that, she earned a B.A. and M.A. in Persian Language and Literature, where her thesis focused on the cultural politics of the Pahlavi state (1925–1941) through archival sources.
