The Black Student Association at the School of Population and Global Health (BSA-SPGH)Ìýinvites the ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ community to a salsa workshop.ÌýThis event will serve to shed light on the history and context for one of the most popular dances currently, salsa. Taught by Gabrielle Jacob, a current PhD student in the department, the salsa dance class will include the Afro-Cuban origins of salsa and a basic class on one of the styles of salsa, Salsa on2, created in New York City.

This event is open to ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ students, faculty members, staff, and alumni.Ìý

The ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ Global Health Scholars – Undergraduate program offers ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ undergraduate students the opportunity to learn about and gain global health experience through participation in research projects. During the summer, each Global Health Scholar is involved in a global health project either at an international or northern Canadian site or in Montreal or Gatineau, under the supervision and mentorship of a ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ faculty member. ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ Global Health Programs (GHP) provides a $3,000 stipend, and, if applicable, an additional $3,000 to cover travel.ÌýÌý
