Career Planning Appointment Information

Access to Services: Our career planning services are exclusively available for students currently enrolled in the MDCM program. Please seeÌýAccess to ServicesÌýto see the availability of Office of Medical Learner Affairs services for all UGME students.

Maximum Number of Appointments:ÌýWe aim to provide each student with at least three (3) career planning appointments per academic year.

Our Career Advisors follow a consistent approach and strive to support as many students as possible. To maximize access for all, three targeted periods have been identified for priority booking, based on the CaRMS preparation timeline:Ìý

  • Personal Letter ReviewÌý-Ìý²Ñ²¹²â

Career Planning – Virtual

Automatically assigned to one of our Career Advisors through the booking system.

Bookable 14 days in advance. Evening appointments reserved for Med 3–4.

Virtual Follow-up

For students requesting a follow-up with a specific Career Advisor.

Bookable 14 days in advance. Evening appointments reserved for Med 3–4.

Career Planning – In Person

With the Career Advisor assigned to your campus.

Bookable 14 days in advance.

Semi-Urgent – Virtual

For quick questions that don’t require a full appointment.

Bookable 3 days in advance.

Cancelling or Rescheduling an Appointment:ÌýStudents may cancel or reschedule appointments up to 24 hours in advance by following the instructions provided in the confirmation email. AÌýminimum of 24 hours’ notice is greatly appreciated whenever possible.
