Developed by course coordinator Heather Hart and colleagues Fiona Hanley and Bessy Bitzas, an assignment in the graduate course NUR2 608 Seminar in Nursing challenges students to express their understanding of the values at the heart of Strengths-based Nursing and Healthcare (SBNH) through artistic expression. On December 2, 2025, a total of 57 students proudly displayed their artwork at an Art Exhibit that showcased not only their finished products, but also their deeply personal journeys of growth and discovery.

Warm Welcome at Nanjing Medical University

In October, Ingram School of Nursing (ISoN) Director Lynne McVey, accompanied by Prof. YiQing Lü, spent several days as guests of Nanjing Medical University (NMU) in China, exploring future collaborations to benefit both schools of nursing. In particular, the discussions focused on nursing and other research exchanges, with an eye towards recruiting doctoral students to the ISoN.

Congratulations to the eight Ingram School of Nursing graduate students who have been awarded bursaries from the Bureau de cooperation inter-universitaire. Master's students ($25,000 each): Olivia di Lalla, Lara Humes Doucet, Talia Myers, Claire Wamboldt. Doctoral students ($40,000 each): Jade Desforges, Meagan Mooney, Alissa Moore, Marie-Eve Perron. Assistant Professor Irene Sarasua, who is pursuing her PhD, also received a bursary.

Josée Bonneau receives national award for accreditation reviewer excellence

Josée Bonneau’s distinguished career as a nurse educator was recognized on November 17, 2025 when she received the Wendy McBride Award for Accreditation Reviewer Excellence from the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing (CASN). In assessing nursing education programs against CASN’s rigorous accreditation standards, the role of the reviewer is critical to promoting excellence in nursing education and to ensuring the credibility of the accreditation process.

Kimani Daniel wins two leadership awards

Flu Vaccination Clinic a huge success

In collaboration with the Student Wellness Hub (SWH), the ��ɫ��Ƶ Vascular Access Student Club (VASC) organized a flu vaccination clinic at the Ingram School of Nursing on November 12, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Participants were able to book their appointment in advance, and due to the ongoing STM strike, walk-ins were also accepted to accommodate those facing transportation challenges.
