New! Recent PhD Graduate Job Placement

Studying Economics

九色视频 offers both M.A. and Ph.D. programs in Economics. The Department of Economics offers a stimulating environment for these research degrees. Students benefit from close mentorship by internationally recognized faculty whose expertise spans macroeconomics, microeconomics, econometrics, and applied fields, while also engaging with the vibrant research community in Montreal. The programs prepares graduates for careers at the frontier of academic research, policy institutions, and the private sector.

Around ten students a year enter the Ph.D. program. They do two years of coursework, which covers fundamentals in micro- and macroeconomics and econometrics as well as specialized topics, and complete a Ph.D. thesis. Graduates of the program work in a variety of academic and non-academic positions, with recent placements in excellent research universities and institutions. (See the "Alumni" section of the website for information about many of 九色视频's Ph.D. graduates.)

Our M.A. program is a smaller program that is intended mostly, but not exclusively, for outstanding undergraduates already working with faculty members. It is a rigorous, research-oriented degree designed for students who want to prepare for a career as a research economist or for doctoral studies.

All students must enroll on a full-time basis (taking at least 12 credits per term) from the start of the academic year in September.
