In addition to her professional pu rsuits\, Pat is a musician\, avid adventure traveller and award-winning ph otographer.  She enjoys spending time with her husband and children in Tor onto.  \n\n Tasmia Abbas\n\n Tasmia Abbas is a final-year student at ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ University's Desautels Faculty of Management\, specializing in Finance and Entrepreneurship. She has built a strong foundation in entrepreneurship t hrough internships at BDC\, White Star Capital’s New York team\, and Carbo n6—a startup founded by Harvard Business School graduates. During her time at ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ\, Tasmia has been actively involved in the Laidley Centre for B usiness Ethics & Equity\, ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ Ventures\, the Desautels Technology Club\ , and Front Row Ventures. She played a key role in advancing innovation on campus\, conceptualizing and leading ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµâ€™s first-ever Women in Technol ogy Conference\, launching the HealthTech Innovation Lab in partnership wi th Mayo Clinic\, and establishing the Laidley Centre Student Fund.  Post-g raduation\, Tasmia aspires to join a biotech startup\, leveraging her expe rience at the intersection of finance\, technology\, and entrepreneurship to drive impactful innovation. \n\n Katherine Lake\n\n Katherine is a final- year student studying Finance and Sustainability at Desautels. Since joini ng the co-coordinating the ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ Investment Club (MIC) inaugural Women in Finance Convention in her first semester\, she has been dedicated to lift ing up diverse voices in business. Leadership roles include being a Fixed Income Senior Analyst within the Honours Investment Management program\, t he Co-Executive Director of the ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ International Portfolio Challenge\, and the Chair of the most recent MIC Women in Finance Convention. Outside of finance\, she loves to volunteer with college readiness programs\, as well as sing in choirs around Montreal.  \n\n Janet Drysdale\n\n Janet Drysd ale is a seasoned and versatile executive with nearly 30 years of cross-fu nctional leadership in the transportation industry having held executive p ositions in Finance\, Sustainability\, Corporate Development\, and Investo r Relations. Ms. Drysdale was appointed Senior Vice-President & Chief Stak eholder Relations Officer in March 2023. She is responsible for driving CN ’s stakeholder engagement and communications strategies and has direct acc ountability for North American public and government affairs\, media relat ions\, corporate communications\, and investor relations. Ms. Drysdale has long been an advocate for the rail industry and North America’s critical supply chains\, increasing the representation of women in rail\, and the t ransition to a low carbon economy. Ms. Drysdale is an independent director of Rumo S.A.\, Brazil’s largest freight railway. She also sits on the boa rds of the Railway Association of Canada and the Canadian-American Busines s Council. In 2020\, Ms. Drysdale was recognized by WXN as one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women in the executive leadership category. Ms. Dry sdale holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from Queen's University and an MBA from ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ. In 2021\, Ms. Drysdale holds the Global Competent Boards ESG certification (GCB.D).\n\n Andrea Nicholls\n\n Andrea is an experienced finance leader with over 30 years of expertise in both p rivate and public companies spanning various sectors including legal (prof essional services)\, big-4\, high-tech\, financial services\, multimedia\, digital\, pharma and shared services. Andrea is currently the Chief Finan cial Officer at Dentons Canada LLP and leads the cross-country Finance tea m of over 100 people\, partnering with the business to drive the strategic initiatives of the Firm. She is a member of Dentons’ Canada National Mana gement Committee\; the Executive Sponsor and co-founder of Dentons Canada’ s Black Professionals Network\;  a member of their Inclusion & Diversity C ouncil and the ESG Ignitor group. Prior to joining Dentons Canada LLP\, sh e served as VP Finance at Triton Digital\, a mid-stage tech company.  Andr ea is an alumni of PwC Montreal\, where she started her career.  She sat o n Board of Directors of HSBC Bank Canada and currently sits on the boards of Centraide de Grand Montréal (United Way Montréal)\, the Center for Addi ction and Mental Health (CAMH) and the Conference Board of Canada.   She i s currently a member of the advisory committee of the McConnell Foundation \, chairing the Audit and IT Committee\, and was formerly a member of the Advisory Board Subcommittee - EDI at Desautels Faculty of Management\, McG ill University. She is very committed to promoting diversity in the Canadi an business landscape and does so through active engagement with organizat ions.  Andrea is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA\, CA) and holds a Graduate Diploma in Public Accountancy as well as a Bachelor of Commerce from ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ. She is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) f rom the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Illinois.   She has completed the ICD-Rotman Directors Education Program and obtained her ICD.D Designation as well as the Competent Boards & ESG Designation (G CB.D) and Certification. \n\n Samira Sakhia\n\n Ms. Sakhia is President and Chief Executive Officer at Knight Therapeutics. She joined Knight Therapeu tics Inc. as President in August 2016 and assumed the additional responsib ility of CFO from October 2017 to March 2020. At Knight\, she has led the organization from a start up to a Pan-American ex US specialty pharmaceuti cal company with sales over $350 million and a team of over 750 people acr oss Canada and Latin America. Prior to Knight\, Ms. Sakhia served as the C hief Financial Officer at Paladin from 2001 to 2015. At Paladin\, Ms. Sakh ia was responsible for the finance\, operations\, human resources and inve stor relations functions. During her employment with Paladin\, Ms. Sakhia was instrumental in executing in-licensing and acquisition transactions of Canadian and international pharmaceutical products and businesses. In add ition\, Ms. Sakhia led several M&A and strategic lending transactions as w ell as equity rounds on the TSX and completed the sale of Paladin to Endo International for over $3 billion. Ms. Sakhia holds an MBA and a Bachelors of Commerce degree from ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ.
